Pacific Audio Visual Institute has become known as the ‘Harvard’ of audio schools. PAVI’s comprehensive one-year Audio Engineering & Production covers subjects taught in audio engineering, recording and music production schools. Intensive hands-on and theory training in music recording, audio engineering, live sound, digital audio work stations and more is taught in world-class recording studios, and classrooms.
Record production, Pro Tools 10, Reason, Ableton Live and other audio software, audio for video, live sound reinforcement, song writing and arranging, music theory and history, recording studio design and an audio engineering practicum are among the many opportunities offered. New music, beats, breaks, grooves, loops, sampling, plug-ins and electronic music are all explored.
Audio Engineering & Production is a one-year, three-semester program combining classroom, studio hands-on instruction, location classes and guest speakers. The program includes 12 courses that are modular in design, with four courses taught per semester. Students may take advantage of 1500 hours of computer lab time, in addition to reserved 24/7 studio time, over and above their regular class hours. We also offer Internship Placement Assistance. Students participating gain practical experience in the industry.
